Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book a seat at Koizen?
Reservations are obtained through our website www.koizen.se. The details for this is available on our reservations page. We release available seats each day for two months ahead.

Can I make a reservation without booking ahead?
No, unfortunately not. Reservations are linked with our booking system, so you can’t make a reservation without booking online.

What are the opening and closing times of the Restaurant?
We are open Tuesday to Saturday, except for Swedish national holidays.
First sitting starts at 18:00 and second sitting starts at 20:30. You will be seated approximately 2 hours. If you wish to stay a while longer please book the second sitting, you will have the possibility to stay until 24:00 if you want a bottle or two more of wine.

How do I receive my reservation?
After Pre-payment you will receive a confirmation by email that your order and payment has been received. This will confirm the date, time, duration and numbers for your reservation.

How much does the dinner cost?
The Omakase menu is 795 SEK per person (including VAT), food only, drinks and extras are in addition to this.

Why is there no information about the set menu?
At koizen we serve an omakase menu. The chef at koizen will decide what will be served.

Do you have an alternative menu?
No, the chef decides your menu for the evening.

Can I get a refund or credit against my final bill, if I or any of my guests cannot attend on the day?
Yes, the pre-payment will be deducted from the final bill at the restaurant.

Can I make changes to my reservation?
We’re happy to help you if you need to make changes to your booking if it’s a possibility. Send us a mail to info@koizen.se.

How long will you be seated at Koizen?
The dining experience takes approximately 2 hours.

Is there a waiting list if I am unable to make a reservation?
You can always send an email to check the availability at info@koizen.se.

 

How do I pay for my booking?
Payment for your booking is made through our booking system. When booking we will ask you for a credit or debit card number to secure your reservation. This is a service via our payment agent easytablebooking. Methods of payment are regulated by Stripe. You will be charged 100 SEK per person.

What is the cancellation policy?
We do understand that cancellations due to illness may occur. To cancel your reservation please follow the link provided in your confirmation or inform us as soon as possible at, info@koizen.se, or call us 031 318 68 10, Monday to Friday 11:00-15:00. If the cancellation occurs less than 24 hours the pre-payment will be forfeit.

What is the difference between Koizen Omoya and Koizen Hanare?
Koizen Omoya at Nordenskiöldsgatan 24 has a kitchen that is equipped with a gas stove and an oven. The set menu served at Omoya has warm courses and raw courses.
Koizen Hanare at Aschebergsgatan 26 has a raw bar. The food is served raw with very few exceptions.

If I am allergic or need a diet, can I eat at Koizen?
Send us a email info@koizen.se where you explain us the details of your diet and we will do our best to accommodate you as much as possible, note that if you have a extreme allergy, we will not have the possibility to help you, due to our small sushi- bar and the possibility of contamination.

How can I pay my final bill?
You can pay your final bill with Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard or American Express. We do not accept cash.

Are there car-parking facilities?
Unfortunately we do not have car-parking facilities. We do recommend using Gothenburg local transportation to get to our locations.

Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code at Koizen.

Are children allowed?
We welcome children over the age of 10 years old as long as they behave in a normal manner.

Do you have a children’s menu?
No. We have one menu chosen by our skilled sushi chefs

Is there a different price for children?
No, we’re afraid there is no reduced price for children.
