How do I book a seat?
Reservations can be made through our website here. Online bookings can be made for up to 8 guests. For more, please contact us. Online bookings usually need to be made at least 3 hours in advance. Otherwise, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate. We release available seats each day for two months ahead.

Can I make a reservation without booking ahead?
No, unfortunately not.  Reservations are linked with our booking system, so you can’t make a reservation without booking online.

What are the opening and closing times?
We are usually open from Wednesdays to Saturdays. ※We will be closed for the whole January 2022, but will come back in February! 

First sitting starts at 17:30 and second sitting starts at 20:00. You will be seated approximately 2 hours. If you wish to stay a while longer, please book the second sitting, you will have the possibility to stay until 24:00.

How much does the dinner cost?
Our classic omakase set menu is 1095 SEK per person (including VAT).  Drinks and extras can be added at an extra cost. Please check our menu page for more details and the other menus: https://koizen.se/menu/

Why is there no information about the set menu?
We serve “omakase” menus. The Japanese term “omakase” means to leave it up to the chef. As our guests, you are encouraged to trust our chefs to select and serve the finest ingredients available for the day. 

Do you have an alternative menu?
Unfortunately not. As we mentioned above, our chef decides your menu for the evening.  However, please inform us if you have any dietary restrictions, allergies or special considerations, so we will do our best to accommodate you.  At the moment, we are unable to serve courses that are strictly to vegetarian.

Can I make changes to my reservation?
We’re happy to help you if you need to make changes to your booking. Kindly notify us no later than 24 hours of the reserved time. 

How long will I be seated at Koizen?
The dining experience takes approximately 2 hours.

Is there a dress code?
There is no dress code. Feel free to wear what you feel comfortable to enjoy our dinner! 

Is there a waiting list if I am unable to make a reservation?
Yes, we do. But before being on a waiting list, you can always email or call us to check the availability. We do our best to accommodate you.  

What is the cancellation policy?
We do understand that cancellations may occur. Kindly notify us no later than 24 hours of the reserved time. Please note that we reserve the right to charge full price per guest for any cancellations or reductions in group size if you fail to cancel 24 hours prior. 

If I am allergic or need a diet, can I eat at Koizen?
Please contact & inform us the details of your diet and we will do our best to accommodate you as much as possible. Please note that if you have an extreme allergy, we will not have the possibility to serve you due to the possibility of contamination. At the moment, we are unable to serve courses that are strictly to vegetarian.

How can I pay my final bill?
You can pay your final bill with Visa, Visa Debit, Master Card or American Express. We do not accept cash. Reservations must be secured also with a credit card to be valid. However, you will not be charged at the time of making reservations. 

Are there car-parking facilities?
Unfortunately not. We have food and alcohol parings as well. We do recommend using Gothenburg local transportation to get to our location.

Are children allowed?
We welcome children over the age of 10 years old.

Do you have a children’s menu?
No. We serve only omakase set menus, which means our chef decides what to serve for the evening. 

Is there a different price for children?
No, we’re afraid that there is no reduced price for children.

Can I bring my pet in?
Unfortunately not.
